Solid Wood Dart Cabinet With Dartboard and Darts Review

Have you ever been to a local pub and played darts? We’re not talking about those fake plastic things, but the real pointy tips that are thrown at rubber foam. Well, we have because we own a bar here in Georgia and it’s where all the local dart tournaments are held. We like to say it’s because of the atmosphere, the music, or even the locations, but it’s not. The real reason people play a Dart Board Game is the professional appeal.

That’s right, we have twelve dartboards situated throughout the bar and each one of them is Solid Wood Dart Cabinet with Dartboard and Darts. These are the real deal and while they people have thought they were upwards of $500, they aren’t even close. In fact, they are so far off we always feel like we got a great deal every time someone comes up and compliments them. We’ve even noticed other bars starting to get them over the past couple years.

The reason the Solid Wood Dart Cabinet with Dartboard and Darts are so nice is because it has several benefits. Whether it’s the self-healing Sisal fiber, the removable number rings, or the size of it, these are only the beginning. Why? Because everyone loves the solid pine cabinet with self-closing hinges and dovetail joint construction. Add in a door mounted dry erase board and you have yourself the greatest thing since slice bread.

One thing we will note is that if you own a bar like we do and have as many tournaments or people come to play, you might want to get more darts. The Solid Wood Dart Cabinet with Dartboard and Darts comes with six steel tip darts. Definitely enough to make a game, but if something bends, breaks, or there is just a mishap then you can rest assured you’ll need more of them. Oh, and get some extras like dry erasers, markers, etc., because we always end up losing those.

Anyways, they’re the best investment we could of ever made for our bar here. To be honest everyone talks about how packed the places are in Atlanta, but we do just as well if not better. Heck, at any given time we have 96 people here just playing darts. Mix in a live band or some sports and this place is almost wall-to-wall. We only say “almost” because with the Solid Wood Dart Cabinet with Dartboard and Darts in there, wall-to-wall would mean people running out of there with darts stuck in them.

The point is if you want to change the landscape of your bar, your home, or just a friendly game in the garage you can do so with the Solid Wood Dart Cabinet with Dartboard and Darts. It’s sleek, professional, and in our bar when they’re all closed it looks like a bunch of cabinets for glasses or something. It’s pretty cool, but you’d have to see it to understand. Then again, if you get your own a firsthand look will be right in front of you.

Basic Dart Throwing Techniques For the Game of Darts

1. Proper alignment.

The first step to a good throw is aligning your shoulder, elbow and hand in a straight line. All three should point at the board. Some dart throwers move their elbow slightly to the left or to the right depending on personal preference, but don’t go too far with this movement because it can develop into bad mechanics. You want to try to point your elbow at the dartboard and keep it as still as possible. Imagine that there’s a weight attached to your elbow stabilizing it and not allowing your elbow to move easily from side to side.

2. Steady dart throwing motion.

The ideal dart throwing motion is similar to how you would swing a hammer. Use your elbow, hand and wrist for speed and your shoulder for support. As you extend your arm your elbow should rise up and create the force needed to speed the dart towards the board.

3. Holding the dart.

Try not to point your darts down to the ground or hold the dart sideways at the beginning of your dart throw. To achieve a high level of skill at the game of darts all non-essential motions should be minimized or avoided. Keep your darts level and pointed directly at the dartboard.

4. Balanced stance.

A strong center of balance is very important to the dart throw. Whatever you do, make sure you use a balanced stance when throwing darts. Leaning or swaying is typically a bad idea because it makes the dartboard not only a small target, but a moving target. The most important part of the dart stance is finding a stance that is comfortable to you and your dart throwing style. If you are uncomfortable the chances are much better that you won’t shoot darts up to your potential.
